For Employers: How Our Process Works

After selecting the type of search you want for your company,  and after reviewing  the process below,  please complete the Candidate Request Form.

It is in the best interest of clients, candidates, and search professionals to form partnerships. The partnership requires an equal level of commitment by all parties to successfully achieve the desired goal. Your willingness to invest in the process is a direct reflection of the level of commitment to the partnership.

Guarantee:  Searchco guarantees all of our placements for six months or 180 days from the date of hire with a signed contractual agreement in place. Should a candidate leave their position for any reason within the first 180 days, Searchco will refund the fee or provide a replacement candidate at no additional cost to the client provided our invoice is paid in accordance with our regular billing cycle within 60 (sixty days) of the start date of the candidate.

Cost Generally, our search terms are negotiable depending on the type of search. In full and partial retainer (exclusive) search relationships, our fee is 33%.  We recommend exclusive search because it provides you with the following benefits. Our contingency search fee is 25%.  Searchco will consider reducing our fee for multiple candidate search assignments depending on the quantity and type of positions to be filled.  Ask your Searchco Representative.

Our 16 Step Process

1. At the outset, Searchco provides you with a detailed description of our search process. The average Search Timeline is between 30 and 75 days.

2. Build a framework by doing a needs analysis which defines the position, its responsibilities, compensation, expectations of the position, determine how to present the opportunity, and then strategize on how to get the best candidates.

3. Create the internal search description, come to agreement with you about the candidate profile, e-mail that to you for review, you then acknowledge it and return it back to us, along with the last 2 resumes of successful hires, so Searchco (sm) is ready to go.

4. Research companies to source candidates through our own database, directories, and the internet, send the list to you for review in case there are any requested additions or deletions, then you acknowledge it and send back to us.

5. Searchco develops a professional sounding script and voice mail presentation for leaving messages.

6. Searchco posts the job description to selected web sites and possibly advertises the position, if requested, to the appropriate media.

7. Searchco to provide regular progress reports throughout the search process and to present a short list of qualified candidates on a timely basis after Searchco (sm) conducts in depth candidate interviews to determine appropriate background, salary requirements, motivation to make a job change, relocation, and to discuss if her/his short and long term goals are a match to the position.

8. Searchco prepares candidates for their first interview by sharing with them what is needed for the first meeting.

9. Searchco prepares all hiring managers for each meeting with candidate "hot buttons" and stay in touch with you on an as-needed basis throughout the duration of the search.

10. Debrief the candidate after each interview and provide immediate feedback to you.

11. Debrief the hiring managers and make sure that candidates not desired can be released professionally.

12. Complete reference checks for each candidate, when appropriate, and deliver reference information to you in written or verbal form.

13. Make and negotiate the offer as well as address with the finalist candidate issues relating to resignation, counter-offer, and start date.

14. Work with you and/or your human resource department in addressing details of relocation and benefits.

15. Do appropriate client and new hire follow up for the long term.

16. Ask for client and new hire references that can be used to help promote the next search assignment within this company and other new recruits.
